From November 30th to December 1st, the National Finals of the 7th China Youth Volunteer Service Project Competition were held in Guangdong. HFU’s project, “Chinese Festivals·Unity Knot”, won the national silver award in the Cultural Dissemination and Tourism Service track. This marks the first time that HFU has received a national award in the volunteer service project competition.
HFU’s award-winning team members come from such schools as School of Energy Materials and Chemical Engineering, School of Language, Culture and Media, School of Tourism and Exhibition, School of Design, School of Economics and Management, and School of International Education. In the light of the Belt and Road Initiative and HFU’s international-orientated school running positioning, the project focuses on “telling China’s stories and making China’s voice heard” to promote traditional Chinese festival culture and carrying out volunteer services.
The project has garnered numerous honors, including the Gold Award at the 2024 Anhui Volunteer Service Project Competition, the Silver Award at the 2024 Anhui College Students’ Innovation Competition, the Bronze Award at the 10th Anhui “Challenge Cup” Business Startup Competition, as well as the Silver Award at the Belt and Road International Invitational Tournament in Anhui Province, and the Silver Award at Hefei Volunteer Service Project Competition.
